Hindustan Times published the launch on 21 September. PCQuest, Smartprix and Mobigyaan all place the first open sale at 12:00 p.m. IST on 22 September, through Flipkart, realme.com and select retail. Several of those reports say eligible bank offers could bring the payable price to about ₹56,699. That offer is not a coupon code this page is allowed to invent, and it is not a price that will still be on the product tile next month without you checking.

₹62,999 minus ₹6,300 is ₹56,699. The arithmetic is not the tricky part. Eligibility is. A card offer fails if the card is not on the list, if the offer cap is already used, if the checkout is on a different bank’s EMI, or if the tile has moved to a later sale with a different strip. Mobigyaan also mentioned no-cost EMI starting at ₹4,724 a month. That monthly figure depends on tenure and on the offer still being live. Do not treat ₹4,724 as a permanent instalment. Read the checkout breakdown before you confirm.

IT Voice’s company statement priced the phone at ₹56,699 with an asterisk, which is the offer price, not a silent cut in MRP. If a reel says “launched at 56,699” and hides the asterisk, it is describing the bank-offer outcome as if it were the sticker. Keep both numbers. The sticker is what you pay if the offer does not attach.

Hindustan Times adds Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. Those lines are single-outlet additions. They are plausible spec-sheet items, and they are not confirmed by every report we opened. If you are writing a comparison table, mark the source in the cell.

Where the spec sheets do not agree

Display size is the obvious split. Hindustan Times and PCQuest say 6.78 inches. Mobigyaan says 6.8 inches and adds a 1.5K resolution of 2,800 by 1,280. A two-hundredths-of-an-inch gap can be rounding, or it can be a copied spec from a different realme generation. This page will not pick a winner. Brightness is a larger split, and it should not be smoothed over. Hindustan Times says up to 1,400 nits peak. Mobigyaan says up to 6,500 nits peak, plus 4,608Hz PWM dimming and full-brightness DC dimming. Those are not the same claim with a typo. Until realme’s own spec sheet is the line you quote, say “reports differ” and do not put 6,500 nits in a headline. A brightness number is one of the figures most often copied from a different model.

Smartprix lists an ingress rating of IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K for the Harry Potter edition, in a table next to the standard phone’s durability. That rating did not appear in the Hindustan Times piece we used. Treat it as reported by that outlet, and check the official durability line before you tell someone the phone can go in a pool.

What is actually “Harry Potter” about it

The theme is exterior, software and packaging, not a different processor. realme’s sell-out note, via IT Voice, describes a Hogwarts-inspired brown finish, an argyle texture referencing the wizard’s-chess scene, a Hedwig-inspired camera deco, the four house crests, and a “Welcome to Hogwarts” engraving. It also claims a quadra light-sensing colour-change treatment so the crests show house colours in sunlight, and calls that a first. “World’s first” is the company’s wording. This page does not audit prior art.

Hindustan Times describes the box contents as a Hogwarts acceptance letter, a train ticket, crest bookmarks, character postcards, an embossed case and a phone pin. PCQuest says the limited gifting box is restricted to 5,000 units worldwide. If the collector’s box is the reason you are buying, ask the seller whether the unit in front of you is one of those boxes or a later replenishment of the phone alone. A sold-out day-one report does not tell you whether a restock includes the paper props.

The partnership line in Mobigyaan’s piece is Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products. That is a licensing credit, not a film. The phone does not include a copy of any Harry Potter movie. Do not expect a streaming login in the box.

The earbuds are a different product

realme also launched Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition, reported at ₹6,999, on the same sale window. Smartprix lists 12.4mm drivers, 50dB adaptive ANC, LHDC 5.0 and a claimed 56-hour total with the case, matching the standard buds, plus a crest on the case. IT Voice said the buds sold out on realme.com on day one. They are not thrown in with the phone. Budget them separately or skip them. A bundle price was not in the reports used here.

Sale status, without a fake restock time

Company language on 23 September was that the phone had sold out on Flipkart and on realme.com. Sold out on a Tuesday is not a permanent end. Brands restock limited editions, sometimes quietly, sometimes with a new offer that is worse than the first. The only honest instruction is to look at the live Flipkart and realme.com product pages.
