Night City is getting a second series, and the date is no longer a fan edit. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 premieres on Netflix on Tuesday, 20 October 2026. CD PROJEKT RED and the animation studio TRIGGER are making it. It is a 10-episode standalone with a new crew. The exact IST unlock hour is not printed in the announcement we are using, so we will not invent one.

Verification note: CD PROJEKT RED’s news post on 21 August 2026 says the series airs on Netflix on 20 October. The official Edgerunners 2 site says 20 October 2026, exclusively on Netflix. Netflix Tudum’s announcement the same week calls it a 10-episode standalone about a new group of mercenaries, with a new cast and a reworked animation style, set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. Character names beyond that description are not listed in those posts. We are not filling them in from a wiki guess.

TRIGGER’s reputation from the first series is the reason the search volume is already high. The studio and CD PROJEKT RED have attached their names and a date. That is the news. A frame-by-frame “breakdown” of a teaser that claims to identify a returning character is, unless the official site says the name, a guess. The official site is there for character notes. Read that. • On 20 October, open Netflix, not a mirror site.

Parents and younger teenagers: look at the rating on the day. The marketing is aimed at adults who already know this world. A high-school group watch is a decision for the adults in the room, not for a hype reel.
