Prime Big Deal Days 2026: 6–7 October

Amazon has put a real clock on its autumn Prime event, and the clock is not Indian. Prime Big Deal Days 2026 run Tuesday 6 October and Wednesday 7 October for Prime members. In the United States the window starts at 12:01 AM PDT on 6 October and ends at 11:59 PM PDT on 7 October. That is 12:31 PM IST on 6 October through 12:29 PM IST on 8 October. India’s Amazon.in is not on the 22-country list in Amazon’s press release. The Great Indian Festival, already dated from 8 October on Amazon.in, is a different sale.

Verification note: Amazon’s newsroom and its 14 September 2026 press release state that Prime Big Deal Days return on 6–7 October, starting 12:01 AM PDT on 6 October, with millions of deals for Prime members across more than 35 categories. New “Today’s Big Deals” drop at midnight, 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM PDT. The press release lists 22 countries, including the US, UK, Germany, Japan, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Singapore and others named below. It says dates may vary by country. India is not in the list. Bank-offer caps and India-only coupons from past years are not copied here.

The US window, converted once

• Dates: 6 and 7 October 2026, Prime members
• US start: 12:01 AM PDT, Tuesday 6 October, which is 12:31 PM IST the same day
• US end: 11:59 PM PDT, Wednesday 7 October, which is 12:29 PM IST on Thursday 8 October
• Deal drops, US Pacific: midnight, 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM PDT. In IST that is 12:30 PM, 8:30 PM, and 1:30 AM the next day.
• Who can buy: Prime members in the countries Amazon listed. A non-member sees the event and cannot take the member deal.

PDT is UTC−7. IST is UTC+5:30. The gap is 12 hours 30 minutes. Add that to a US Pacific clock and you land in India. Do not add 13 hours 30 minutes out of habit from US Eastern. Eastern on those dates is still on daylight time — the US falls back on 1 November — so Eastern is three hours ahead of Pacific, not the winter gap people use in December.

The country list, including the absence of India

Amazon’s press release says Prime members in 22 countries can shop the event, and that dates may vary by country: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States. If you live in one of those places, use that country’s Amazon site, because the local start can differ from the US Pacific clock. If you live in India, this list is the reason a US deal link may refuse your address. Amazon.in has its own festive event, the Great Indian Festival, which the company has dated from 8 October 2026. That is the sale to plan for in India. It is not a mirror of Prime Big Deal Days, and its end date was not announced when the start was confirmed.

Trying to ship a US-only doorbuster to a Jaipur address through a freight forwarder is how warranties and returns go missing. If the item exists on Amazon.in during the Great Indian Festival, compare that Indian payable price instead. A US lightning deal that cannot be delivered to you is not a bargain.

What Amazon has said will be on offer

The company describes more than 35 categories, with seasonal emphasis on fall entertaining, home, Halloween, beauty, fashion, kitchen and early holiday gifting. It has named examples in the press material — toys from Fisher-Price, boots from Hunter, drinks from poppi, fragrance from Phlur, and deal drops from brands including Shark, Princess Polly and Soundcore by Anker. Those are illustrations, not a promise that every size and colour survives until you check out. Deals are while stocks last. Alexa for Shopping is being positioned to set alerts from your lists. Alerts are not a discount. The cart is the discount.

A Prime Visa / Prime card promotion was also described for US cardmembers, with bonus earn on select brands from 15 September through 6 October, terms applying. That is a US card product. It is not an Indian SBI or HDFC offer. Do not paste it into an Indian checkout. How to use the 48 hours if you are eligible

• Join Prime in the country where you will actually ship, before 6 October, if you want member pricing. Joining on the day works only if the site says it does.
• Write down the price you will pay. A struck-through “was” price is Amazon’s comparison, not your memory. Your memory, screenshotted in September, is better.
• Set alerts for the three US drop times if you are buying on Amazon.com: 12:30 PM IST, 8:30 PM IST, and 1:30 AM IST.
• Ignore Telegram “deal bots” that want your Amazon login. They want the account.
• If you are in India, spend the same energy on the 8 October Great Indian Festival listing instead of forcing a US cart.

Halloween is 31 October, three weeks later. Amazon is explicitly using this October event to sell Halloween prep and early gifts. Black Friday is 27 November and is a different, not-yet-detailed promotion. Do not skip a genuinely good 6 October price because someone on a forum said November will be cheaper. They do not know. You can still wait, if your note says the price is ordinary.

For sellers and for Indian brands watching the US

If you sell on Amazon.com or another listed marketplace, your deal calendar is the one Seller Central gave you. Consumer press does not see your funding rate. If you sell only on Amazon.in, Prime Big Deal Days is context, not your campaign. Your campaign is the Great Indian Festival and whatever coupons you lodged for it. Staff the 6–8 October overlap carefully: US shoppers hit member deals while Indian shoppers are in the pre-festival week, and on 8 October the Indian sale starts as the US event is ending at midday IST. Two warehouses, two sets of creative, two end times. A single “Amazon sale” banner that covers both will lie to one of the countries.

Publish the country name in the headline of every ad. “Prime Big Deal Days, US, 6–7 October” is accurate. “Amazon sale live in India tonight” is, for this event, false.

Two Amazons, one Tuesday

Write the country in your own note before you open a tab. “US, Prime, 6 October, 12:31 PM IST start” is one line. “India, Great Indian Festival, 8 October” is another. If you are eligible for the first, shop it for things that ship to you. If you are not, the second line is the one that spends your money. Opening Amazon.com while logged into an Indian address, seeing a deal, and then discovering it will not ship, is the standard disappointment of this week. The press release already told you India is outside the 22 countries. Believe the list.

Eligible shoppers still need a ceiling. Halloween costumes, kitchen tools and early gifts are the categories Amazon itself is pointing at. A costume bought on 6 October arrives in time for 31 October in the US if the listing says so. A costume bought on the Indian site during a different sale is a different delivery promise. Do not mix the tracking numbers in your head. And do not let a 1:30 AM IST drop, which is 1:00 PM PDT, become a reason to lose sleep over a blender. Set the alert. Look in the morning. While-stocks-last is real, and so is the chance the item was ordinary.

Sellers on Amazon.in should ignore the US drop times when they staff the Indian warehouse. Your spike, if you lodged festival deals, is 8 October. The US event ending at 12:29 PM IST on the 8th is a coincidence of clocks, not a signal that Indian customers are finishing. They are starting. Staff the Indian afternoon.
